The HD version of public channel France 2 launched today on several platforms in France including CanalSat DTH and Numéricable.
As has been the case with other broadcasters across Europe, including VRT in Belgium and Nederland 1 in The Netherlands, France 2 will show sport events Tour de France and the Olympics in Beijing in native HD.
CanSat already broadcasts TF1 and M6 in HD, but for the time being there will be no French version available for Arte HD, which starts broadcasting in German via the Astra satellite on July 1.
