Slovakia’s TV Markiza plans to launch a second channel within three years, according to local press reports.
TV Joj, one of its main competitors, recently announced that it, too, intends to expand its portfolio with a movie-based channel named Joj Plus later this year.
The number of channels offered by established broadcasters such as TV Joj and CME-backed TV Markiza is set to increase still further as Slovakia prepares for ASO, which is expected to take place by 2012.
