Outgoing ProSiebenSat.1 CEO Lothar Lanz has told the company’s AGM that the German commercial broadcaster is still looking at a sale of its non-core businesses in Scandinavia and the Netherlands.
The possibility of the disposal of the C More, which operates the Canal+ brand in the Nordic market, and the publishing arm of Veronica has been mooted since ProSiebenSat.1 purchased SBS Broadcasting. Veronica’s television activities would remain with ProSiebenSat.1.
“The final choice has not been made yet,” Lanz told shareholders. He reiterated that the group was holding on to its Sat.1 channel despite repeated overtures from pay-TV operator Premiere.
