The Dutch cable operator Ziggo, the new entity of the former Casema, @Home and Multikabel networks, has launched interactive on-demand services in limited parts of its network. The service will be rolled out across the network after the summer.
Customers can buy the Scientific Atlanta / Cisco Explorer 8455 DVB HD set-top box with PVR for €428.25 and select from two subscription on-demand tiers. “Programma Gemist” offers catch-up programming from the Dutch public broadcasters and SBS at a cost of €4.95 a month and “TV-theek” offers a choice of TV series, kids programming and movies for a fixed prioce of €9.95 monthly.
