HD IPTV debuts in Poland

The Polish alternative telco Inotel has launched what is understood to be the country’s first IPTV service offering HD channels.
According to a local report, it is available in Poznan and other parts of Western Poland (Wielkopolska region), reaching some 40,000 homes but with the number expected to rise to 100,000 by the end of the year.
Inotel provides a choice of a basic programme package of 41 channels, plus a further seven packages, one of which consists of Nat Geo HD and Polsat Sport HD.
It also offers such additional services as an EPG, PVR and VOD.
