Ypso is after Alice in France

Ypso and its cable subsidiary Numericable is leading the bidding process for Alice France. The operator has bid €780 million against a €680 million bid from Iliad-Free and €600 million from SFR-Neuf.

Added to this and, according to French press reports, Alice executive Marco de Benedetti, MD and head of Carlyle’s European buyout opportunities in Italy, is a close friend of Franco Bernabe, DG at Telecom Italia, which owns Alice France.
