ANGA Cable Preview. Latens, hall 10.2, stand TBC
The Belfast-based vendor of software, smart card-free, conditional access systems will demonstrate the latest versions of its Latens CAS, BCAS and IPCAS.
Latens CAS is a pure software solution which replaces the proprietary smart cards or embedded set-top solutions of traditional CAS vendors with a downloadable CAS system using Secure Software Modules.
IPCAS has been specifically tailored for the demands of larger IP network operators.
The Latens ECOsystem integrates Latens IPCAS with headend management tools and established STB client middleware and browser technology to provide a high-performance and open IPTV service delivery platform which is primarily aimed at IPTV operators and cable networks.
BCAS is a Latens software-based solution for networks without an always-on return path according to the vendor. This is presently the only commercially available software-based solution for networks without an always-on return path.
