The Association for International Broadcasting has launched its annual Media Excellence Awards.
The AIB Awards focus on cross-border communications and are designed to celebrate excellence in several aspects of the broadcast sector: television, radio and online, plus production technology and marketing.
The 2008 AIB Media Excellence Awards have 12 categories ranging from best current affairs documentary to best cross-media production. For the first time a new category to reward the most creative use of graphics has been introduced in association with the graphics company Vizrt.
Digital platforms including mobile and online are also reflected.
The AIB Media Excellence Awards are open for entries until June 30, 2008 and will be presented at a gala dinner at the LSO, London on November 12.
