The Mediasat Premium pay-per-view platform continues to enjoy significant growth. In its first quarter financials Mediasat reports that its DTT service has 2,506,000 active clients compared to 1,853,000 this time last year. Subscriber growth during the current football season is now well ahead of 2006-07.
Mediaset Premium revenues amounted to €108.8 million, more than double the figure for the first quarter of 2007 (€45.3 million).
The company also gained a further €62.2 million from the sale of football rights to other platforms. An increase from €10.5 million in the same period in 2007.
