TVN, Polsat in the money

The national commercial station TVN secured the most ad revenue in Poland in April, according to data produced by TNS OBOP.
Its earnings of PLN261,542,404 (€77,683,247) were 22.2% higher than those in the corresponding month last year, slightly ahead of second placed Polsat, which posted a year-on-year increase of 20.1% to reach PLN254,388,233.
On the other hand, the third and fourth placed public channels TVP1 and TVP2 registered falls of 18.2% and 23.5%, posting PLN122,118,569 and PLN87,638,823 respectively.
The most financially successful thematic channel in April was AXN, in fifth place with PLN27,736,170, while the star performer overall was News Corp-backed TV Puls, its revenues rising 290.4% year-on-year to reach PLN24,978,818.
