Swedish sports channel TV4 Sport has launched on the country’s DTT platform Boxer. The channel has taken capacity on Multiplex 5, which offers 70% household coverage.
No extra payment is required for the channel at present. The agreement runs until September 30, but it is unclear as to what will happen after that.
TV4 Sport was one of a number of channels that was awarded a licence by RTVV on April 1 this year. The broadcaster includes coverage of Superettan, the premier division of the Swedish Ice Hockey League, the qualifying series of the Swedish Ice Hockey League, the super series of the Swedish Floorball League.
