New sports channel for Czech Republic

A new Czech sports channel named Sport 5 is set to make its debut this Friday (May 2).
According to local reports, the service, which obtained a licence from the National Broadcasting Council (RRTV) in 2007, is owned by a company of the same name and has been in the planning for four years.
It will be distributed by Astra 1E at 23.5 degrees East and offered to cable, DTH and IPTV viewers.
