Hellas Sat plans Greek sat platform

Hellas Sat has submitted an application to the Greek National Council for Radio and Television (NCRTV) to operate a DTH satellite platform. The OTE subsidiary says the platform will be known as Hellas Sat HD.

The move comes days after the sale of the Multichoice-owned platform Nova to the Forthnet group.

OTE already operates a DTH platform targeting Romania. Dolce, which operates from Hellas Sat 2 at 39 degrees East recently announced its half millionth subscriber.
