MIPTV – CANNES. ETN International, a division of A&E Television Networks (AETN), has reached an agreement with Korea Telecom (KT) to launch a branded HD Video-on-Demand service for the History network in Korea.
Scheduled to debut in Summer 2008, the History HD VOD service will be part of Korea Telecom’s newly launched IPTV service, Korea Telecom MegaTV, which provides a variety of interactive and on-demand services to subscribers.
Programming available on the History HD VOD service include, Cities of the Underworld, Lost Worlds, Engineering an Empire, and Dogfights.
KT, Korea’s top integrated wired/wireless communications service provider, launched the IPTV service called Mega TV in July 2007. Mega TV has been growing rapidly, offering 78,000 titles across many different genres. Through its strong content line-up, Mega TV has secured 550,000 users since launch.
