The local Austrian TV channel Salzburg TV will start transmission on DTT locally and on the Astra satellite Europe wide during the month of April. The channel is owned by the Red Bull power drinks company and will have Don McLaughlin as CEO. Founder Ferdinand Wegscheider will leave the broadcaster, having sold his 4% stake in the channel.
