MTV Networks Europe has launched a Danish version of the music channel VH1. The primary outlet will be the cable network YouSee, the former TDC, where the channel has taken a place in the analogue package previously held by VH1 Europe and the erotic channel Blue Hustler that moves to a separate channel.
VH1 Denmark went live at 10.00 last Saturday (March 15) and will broadcast between 12.00 and 06.00 with the remaining hours going to Nickelodeon.
Cablenet TeliaStofa is also broadcasting the new channel, however Canal Digital and Viasat will continue to broadcast the European version to their DTH subscribers.
To begin with Danish programming is limited to a weekly chart show hosted by radio personality Dan Rachlin.
