According to the latest data from national non-profit organisation Impulsa TDT, 29.2% of Spanish households are equipped with some sort of device for the reception of digital terrestrial television signals.
In the run up to the Christmas holiday period, a total of 1.37 million DTT receivers were sold. The City of Madrid continues to lead the penetration rate rankings, with 42.4% of households converted to digital at the end of February. Second placed are the Canary Islands with 38.5%, followed by Catalunya with 33.9%.
A total of 8.81 million digital tuners have been sold in Spain since March 2003.
