The Open IPTV Forum, the organisation looking to establish an end-to-end specification for IPTV services accessible from any consumer device, has published its first architecture specification. It follows the first version of its service and platform requirements document released last autumn. Both documents are available from the Open IPTV Forum website.
The organisation has also announced a collection of high-profile new members, bringing the total membership to 26. The new companies are: Accenture, ANT Software Ltd, Funai Electric Co., Ltd., Quative -Kudelski Group, SES-Astra, Sharp Corporation, Sun Microsystems and Toshiba Corporation.
The founding members of the Open IPTV Forum are Ericsson, France Telecom Group, Nokia-Siemens, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Sony, and Telecom Italia.
