The Dutch home shopping channel LiveShop will continue broadcasting with payments guaranteed by majority shareholder Chellomedia. However, the Dutch travel home shopping broadcaster Liberty TV will not return. LiveShop will continue to be distributed on analogue cable but concentrate on digital distribution for the future. Also, the channel’s website will be improved and play a more important role in order to increase sales. So far, results have been disappointing, with analogue distribution costs placing a heavy burden on the channel. Early this year, the channel was declared bankrupt, but continued broadcasting with Chellomedia guaranteeing payments. By contrast. Liberty TV has given up plans to return following an insolvency declaration in January. The channel operated with a licence from Luxembourg based Liberty TV.
