The Russian mobile company MegaFon may hold an IPO in 2009, according to its DG Sergei Soldatenkov. Quoted in the local press, he added that its capitalization value is currently around 15-20% less than VimpelCom and MTS, the market leader. MegaFon is developing a 3G operation and plans to launch a mobile TV service in the near future.
