Comstar-UTS had 695,000 broadband Internet subscribers in Moscow at the end of Q4 2007, or 198,000 more than three months earlier. At the same time, it had 119,400 pay-TV subscribers, a year-on-year increase of 36,100. According to Sergey Pridantsev, the company’s president and CEO, it plans to upgrade the last mile and launch unique HDTV services in Moscow this year, and at the same time increase its regional subscriber base, which already stood at 40,000 at the end of 2007.
