BSkyB is to expand its presence in the retail market to 250 points of presence after reaching an agreement with the commercial property landlord Land Securities. The DTH broadcaster is building on the network of 59 kiosks that began with the 2006 acquisition of You Me TV.
The number of kiosks is expected to increase from the present 170 to 250 before the middle of this year. The points of presence are now Sky’s third highest driver of new subscriptions behind TV and the internet.
