MTV Networks International’s (MTVNI) Emerging Markets group has entered into a deal with the US investment company CME. Under it, the latter’s Romanian broadcaster Pro TV will be allowed to operate MTV’s localised channels in the country. MTV Romania made its debut in 2002 and will, along with the group’s other channels, join a portfolio of Pro TV services – Acasa TV, Pro Cinema, Pro TV International, Sport.ro and the national commercial station Pro TV – that reach 82% of Romania’s population.
