The ASO in the Czech Republic may be put back a year to November, according to local reports. Pavel Dvorak, the head of the Czech Telecom Office (CTU), is understood to be in favour of the delay, believing the 2010 deadline to be unrealistic. Despite its many documented problems, the transition to digital broadcasting in the Czech Republic is more advanced than in many other CEE countries, with one part of the country – Domazlice near the German border – having gone all-digital at the end of the summer.
