Two new channels will be launched in France this month as well as a new pay-per-view service, Rugby+. Canal+ will introduce Canal+ Family later this week, and the Canal Group will launch the documentary channel Planète Justice a week later. Canal+ Family will be a premium channel with movies, cartoons, series and other family oriented programming. The channel will be added on October 20 to the line-up of Canal+ channels, which now consists of Canal+, Canal+ Cinéma, Canal+ Sport, Canal+ Décalé and Canal+ Hi-Tech.
October 27 sees the launch of Planète Justice, a documentary channel dedicated to “the culture of the law and the judiciar process” and will also offer documtenaries about famous trials from history. On the same date Canal+ will launch Rugby+, the first day of the Top 14 championship. Subscribers to Canal+ Le Bouquet and CanalSat will be able to see the matches for a price of 4 euro a month.
