IBC 2007 (Stand 3.114)
German software for set-top-boxes vendor GkWare is launching its all new MHEG-5 Engine at IBC this year. Adding support for interactive applications and games to receivers requiring less resources than MHP, it can easily integrated on low cost chipsets.
GkWare says its MHEG-5 Engine is guaranteed to be compliant to the UK MHEG-5 Profile 1.06 and can also be used on any other DVB network which is capable of delivering DSM-CC carousels. It in addition enables storage of interactive content on PVRs hard drives.
Gkware will also be showing its DVB Common Interface stack to add support for the detached conditional access modules to set-top-boxes. Gkware also developed a software based MPEG analyzer called StreamGuru.
