OpenTV’s chief executive officer Alan Guggenheim has stepped down as the company’s chief executive officer of the technology company for what is being described as “personal reasons”. The technology company moved quickly to fill the gap, promoting senior vice president Ben Bennett to the new position of chief operating officer and acting chief executive officer. Guggenheim had only be in place since last year’s takeover by Nagra Kudelski.
At the same time Mauro Saladini, an executive vice president and chief financial officer of the Kudelski Group, has been appointed to the board.
Bennet has been with OpenTV since March 2000 and has spent time as managing director of OpenTV’s European operations including work on a number of deployments.
