IBC 2007 (Stand 1.683)
RF Magic is now part of Entropic Communications, a founding member of the Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA), which enables consumers to easily share digital entertainment throughout the home – changing the way content such as video, music, gaming, and images are enjoyed. In July 2007, the company filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to a proposed IPO of its common stock.
The company also demonstrates the simultaneous reception of multiple channels from multiple satellites over one single cable. At this year’s IBC, Entropic will have a life demonstration of their 3rd generation Channel Stacking Switch (CSS) IC solution.
CSS ICs reduce installation cabling complexity and cost for new digital broadcast satellite installations considerably. They also provide an upgrade capability for add-on STB installations by utilizing existing cabling. The newest generation of CSS ICs for Europe and Asia offers extremely low power consumption to meet stringent Green initiatives.
