Hungary’s Magyar Telekom is expected to post a mixed set of results for the second quarter. According to a poll of analysts undertaken for the local financial press, the telco will post a 4% year-on-year increase in its revenues over the quarter, though its net profit will fall by 2% and EBITDA remain relatively unchanged. Despite growing competition, Magyar Telekom is still the leading provider of Internet services in Hungary, with 628,000 ADSL and cable broadband connections at the end of Q1 this year.
