The Business of Multiscreen Television
ARD and ZDF have signed two long-term contacts with SES Astra for an additional two transponders. The German public broadcasters are planning to extend their digital TV services including the launch of programmes in HD quality.
The two transponders will be made available at the 19 degrees East position from early in 2008. The contracts run for 15 years.
