The Benelux broadband operator Versatel added 16,000 subscribers to its Dutch ADSL2+ delivered triple play service Tele2 Vision during the second quarter, taking the total to approximately 164,000. As of June 30 Versatel had 266,000 broadband subscribers in the Netherlands, adding 11,700 during the quarter. In Belgium it added 12,000 subscribers, taking the total to 134,000, including Tele2 Belgium subscribers. Versatel acquired the Tele2 Benelux assets on March 6. Organic year-on-year revenue growth was up 11.3% from €104.5 million to €116.3 million, while total revenue, including the acquired Tele2 activities grew by nearly 75% to €182 million. Due to decreased capex, net losses decreased to €23.2 million from €34.8 million in Q 2006. Losses for the first quarter ran at €22.8 million.
