Second Czech digital ruling

The Czech Supreme Court (NSS) has for the second time in a week effectively overturned a ruling by the Prague Court that withdrew digital TV licences awarded to six companies in April 2006. The six companies – TV Barrandov, Febio TV, TV Pohoda, Z1, Ocko and RTA – have already invested a combined total of CZK1.4 billion (€49 million) and will now be hopeful they can go on to launch their services following amendments to existing broadcast legislation. Analogue switch off in the Czech Republic is set for 2010.
