The Polish national commercial broadcaster TVN has ruled out the possibility of any further acquisitions this year. Speaking to a local press agency, the president of the ITI Group-backed company Piotr Walter added that its objective will instead be to concentrate on programming on both TVN and growing number of niche channels. Last month TVN announced the acquisition of Mango Media, the operator of the satellite-delivered teleshopping channel Mango 24, for €13 million. Separately, the incumbent Polish telco TPSA is to start buying back some of its own shares tomorrow (June 14) in order to undertake their amortization.
