BBC Worldwide has added a travel distribution director to its global channels business. The role has been awarded to Zina Neophytou, who joined global news channel BBC World in 1999, and has subsequently built links with hotels, airlines, cruise ships and airports.
In her new role Neophytou will look to expand the channels business across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, balancing both reach and revenues. She will be the main point of contact for all EMEA territories within the hotel sector and globally for airlines and cruise ships.
Neophytou will report to Gerry Ritchie, BBC Global Channel’s Vice President, Distribution.
