Ingenious Media Active Capital has taken a controlling stake in the interactive TV services company Two Way TV.
The funding, described in a statement as being ‘up to £5.34 million’ comes just a week after Two Way sold its Ark Technology to the cable operator Virgin Media, signalling a change of direction for the company towards programming formats.
Two Way TV already has a long history in working as a technical partner on participation TV shows including Test the Nation, X-Factor and Big Brother.
Part of the funding will be used to expand the company’s creative and production teams and to open an office in Los Angeles that will be used to target the emergence of participation TV in the United States.
