Over 100,000 households have signed up to the Telia Digital-tv IPTV offer. The Swedish telco has been offering its digital TV services free of charge until April next year to customers that commit to its broadband product.
“We know we have one of the strongest digital television offerings on the Swedish market but the response from customers has surpassed all our expectations and we are extremely pleased to see it, says Kent Jonsson, vice president consumer market broadband, TeliaSonera Sweden.”
The company has been upgrading its network, enabling up to 2.5 million households to be able to access the service.
Telia Digital-tv includes a selection of linear and on demand channels. It also has a ‘Mina Bilder’ (My Pictures) service that allows subscribers to store and retrieve photographs on the Telia servers.
