Not to be outdone by its larger neighbours, Welsh language broadcaster S4C has begun a live stream of its digital channel S4C digidol. The channel is to be relayed on s4c.co.uk where it will be available free-of-charge.
A number of live sports events will also be included where the rights can be cleared. However, commercials will initially be missing. The move forms a part of S4C’s multi-platform strategy.
For the past year individual programmes have been available on demand from the S4C website as well as streaming of major cultural events.
