MIP-TV – CANNES. Philippe Rouxel has been appointed Worldwide Distribution Vice President of France 24, the French international news channel. Rouxel had been Deputy Managing Director of Lagardere Networks.
Rouxel will be responsible for the news channel’s international distribution across cable, satellite and IP platforms. His brief also includes international hotel chains and airlines.
A graduate of the EDHEC Business School and of the CELSA Institute (La Sorbonne), Rouxel began his career in 1990 in the marketing department of Canal+. During the 1990s he moved through the German pay-TV platform Premiere, Walt Disney, MTV Networks and Multithematiques, before joining Lagardere in 2002.
