BSkyB has launched its new Sky Bet Poker channel supported by the Orbis OpenBet Poker solution. Sky Poker is combining both a dedicated channel – as opposed to be included only within Sky’s interactive menu – and a web-based portal. Part of the Orbis OpenBet Rake Games module includes the ability to offer multi-platform, multi-table and multi-play tournaments. The web solution combines cutting edge graphics and animations without the need for a Flash-based technology.
OpenBet adopts a ‘One Account, One Wallet’ solution that enables registered users to play either online or through their TV.
Orbis Technologies was established in 1996 and later acquired by News Corp technology arm NDS.
