Former Telewest chief executive Tony Illsley has been named as chairman of Cambridge-based content delivery service provider CacheLogic.
Illsley, who was chief executive of the cablenet from 1998 until its merger with Flextech in 2000, also holds non-executive directorships with the UK largest commercial radio operator GCap Media and video-on-demand services concern Aggregator TV. His time at Telewest coincided with the operator’s move to the triple play concept of TV, telephony and broadband internet.
CacheLogic’s CDN technology combines peer-to-peer networking with a network infrastructure alongside content management. (JC)
