QVC UK has reported a net sales increase of 8.4% bringing the total to £331 million. The channel is distributed on satellite, cable, DTT and also has a substantial web presence. In November the channel launched the QVC Video Centre on its website and subsequently received over 200,000 hits a week.
“QVC Video Centre offers on-demand video clips of product demonstrations on its website. Visitors can create their own programmes by choosing the video clips that interest them, putting them in control of watching what they want when they want,” explained CEO Mark Suckle.
The business as a whole took over £1 million a day in net sales during the fourth quarter with the website responsible 15.8% of all sales during December.
