Inuk Networks has added the legacy broadcaster Five and its two recently launched digital channels Five and Five Life to its Freewire IPTV platform.
Freewire is targeting UK students in their halls of residence, although there are also plans to provide a ‘white label’ service for the UK telecommunications market. Campus design, and the lack of aerials, means that TV reception is often problematic.
The addition of Five, with its mix of US and locally originated content, is key for Freewire as it is the last of the major Freeview channels not available on the platform. (JC)
