Silver has become the first film channel in Europe to be distributed on mobile phones. It follows a deal between the Swedish arm of mobile company 3 and Silver’s distributor Stockholm-based NonStop Television. The deal also includes the entertainment channel Star and both channels will be available in Sweden through 3’s multimedia service X-series.
“NonStop Television is constantly looking for new distribution channels for the company’s different TV concepts. With Star and Silver available in the 3G-net we’re strengthening our leading position in the development of new media,” said Ignas Scheynius, CEO NonStop Television AB.
Highlights on the independent film channel in January include Forty Shades of Blue, Leon the Pig Farmer and Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. (JC)
